Welcome to the Las Vegas Celtic Society FAQ—where we answer your burning questions faster than a Highlander can toss a caber. Think of this as your guide to all things Celtic in the desert: less guessing, more Guinness.
What are the hours of operation?
The event runs from 9am to 5pm both days. Opening Ceremonies begin at 12pm (Noon) on Saturday. Closing Ceremonies begin at 4pm on Sunday.
How much are tickets?
General admission for one day is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military with ID, $5 for kids 6-17. Kids 5 and under are free.
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
Absolutely! General admission tickets will be available at the event, and we accept both cash and card. Want to save time? You can also purchase general admission tickets in advance to skip the line. Just remember—all VIP Passes must be purchased before March 15, 2026.
Can I bring my dog to the event?
No. As much as we love our furry friends here at LVCS, no dogs are allowed in the festival unless they are service animals.
Can I bring my cooler into the event?
No. We do not allow outside food or beverages inside the park during the Celtic Festival & Highland Games. Proceeds from beer sales go directly to putting on the next year’s games, so buy a pint inside and support the Celtic Festival & Highland Games!
Can I bring my own water bottle?
Yes – It’s important to stay hydrated as you enjoy the Festival, so feel free to bring a clear water bottle!
Can I bring my lawn chair?
Yes, you can! Seating is limited, so feel free to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to comfortably enjoy the main stage, Piping and Drumming Contest, Heavy Athletics, and more!
Can I bring my tent or pop-up?
No. You have to be a participant (performer, athlete, vendor or competitor) to set up a pop up tent at the games, and then only in pre-determined areas.
What time do the gates open?
The gates open to the general public at 9am both days and opens to competitors at 8am or earlier, depending on the competition, so they have time to prepare.
Is there a shuttle to the games?
No. Both Lyft and Uber are now available in Las Vegas as affordable means of transportation to the park. There is a designated ride share pick up and drop off area.
Do I have to pay for parking?
Nope! Our awesome parking staff will you get the best spot. Parking is limited at Craig Ranch Regional Park, so please plan accordingly. We encourage you to carpool, or use Uber/Lyft if possible.
Is there Seating?
We have limited seating in the VIP Tent. Otherwise there is no seating. We recommend you bring your lawn chair or blanket to throw down on the grass.
Are there kid’s activities?
Yeah! We have a great Children’s Glen area with re-enactors, arts and crafts, and other fun stuff. This is a family-friendly event, so bring everyone!
Is there re-entry to the games?
Yes. There is same-day re-entry to the Las Vegas Celtic Festival & Highland Games. When you leave one of our gates, you will be prompted by staff to get a hand stamp for re-entry.
