VOLUNTEER

I, Participant, on behalf of myself, my assigns, and my heirs, and in consideration for my voluntary participation in events, meetings, activities, clinics, and/or practices (collectively, “Events”) associated with and/or sponsored by the Las Vegas Celtic Society (the “LVCS”), expressly and knowingly agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the LVCS, any and all affiliates and subsidiaries associated with the LVCS, and their respective agents, officers, members, independent contractors, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and successors, as well as the City of Las Vegas, the City of North Las Vegas, and Clark County (collectively, the “Released Parties”) for any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action for property damage, personal injury, or death sustained by me, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I acknowledge the inherent risks associated with voluntary participation in the LVCS Events and that such risks include, but are not limited to, the following:

Injuries normally associated with strength and conditioning activities, including but not limited to, cardiovascular or aerobic exercise;

Use of the athletic field and implements;

Engaging in any heavy lifting;

Hazards associated with participation in throwing heavy implements; and

Injuries to bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons, as well as other personal injuries, paralysis, or death.

I certify that I am in good physical and mental health and have no pre-existing medical conditions or injuries affecting my ability to participate in LVCS Events.

I voluntarily, knowingly, and freely release, waive, and discharge the Released Parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me or caused by me, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I understand that this Assumption of Risk/Release of Liability Agreement, Consent to Emergency Medical Treatment, and Media Release (“Agreement”) applies to any claim, demand, or action of any kind arising directly or indirectly from my participation in an LVCS Event, including transportation to and from such activities, whether occurring before, during, or after an LVCS Event.

I agree to comply with all rules and safety instructions of an LVCS Event and recognize that failure to do so may result in removal without refund, if applicable.

Consent to Administration of Emergency Medical Treatment

In addition, I understand and agree that the Released Parties cannot control all of the risks associated with an LVCS Event, and may need to respond to accidents and other emergency situations. Therefore, I hereby give my consent to the administration of medical treatment that may be deemed to be required by the Released Parties and/or medical professional volunteers at an LVCS Event relative to my participation, with the understanding that the costs of such treatment will be my responsibility. I agree to hold the Released Parties harmless from all costs associated with such treatment.

I acknowledge that the Released Parties do not carry medical or any other insurance for participants in LVCS Events. Therefore, I acknowledge I am responsible for securing personal insurance coverage, including my own medical, disability, or other appropriate insurance, and assume financial responsibility for injury-related expenses.

Media Release

I understand that photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and/or other media may be taken during an LVCS Event. By participating in an LVCS Event, I grant the LVCS full and perpetual rights, without expectation of compensation, to:

Use my name, image, likeness, voice, biographical information, and/or appearance in connection with such media;

Record, reproduce, distribute, display, publish, broadcast, or otherwise use such media for any lawful purpose;

Edit, adapt, modify, or combine such media with other content; and

Copyright the media and license it to others for use in any manner and in any form of media, whether existing now or developed in the future.

I understand that these permissions are granted in perpetuity and apply worldwide.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada. All negligence claims will be determined by binding arbitration in Clark County, Nevada. Any liability will be limited to the sum of the party’s net worth and will not exceed more than realized medical costs.

If any provision or part of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

This Agreement contains the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between them concerning an LVCS Event. The provisions of this Agreement will continue in effect after the conclusion of all 2026 LVCS Events, whether said conclusion is by agreement, operation of law, or otherwise.

I have read the foregoing Agreement and knowingly and voluntarily sign it, with full understanding of its purpose. If electronically signed, I acknowledge that this constitutes a legally enforceable electronic signature just the same as if I signed with my handwritten signature.
